Late 2013 all was working with this set up. Today no connection was ever accomplished until I disabled my Windows Firewall.
I have found in "Allow programs to communicate through Windows Firewall" the WiDiApp is ticked as recommended in the Intel WiDi Firewall Issues but there is no Wireless PAN DHCP Server listed - I don't know if it ever was.
Anyway, in "Allow programs to communicate through Windows Firewall" I clicked 'Change settings' and 'Allow another Program' and rolled down the list of programs until 'Intel(R) WiDi' came up, clicked 'Add' and checked the Public check box - the Home/Work box was already ticked. Hey Presto! it's all working again with the Windows Firewall reinstated.
Perhaps this will help others with the same problem. I am on Windows 7/64 Ultimate using all the latest drivers.
