I tried to do a system restore several times. After it went back past the restore that was made before the update, when it was working correctly and it was still giving the same error I did not go further.
I ran the Intel® Processor Diagnostics Tool. It gets as far as the cache test but seems to stall there with the green line all the way to the right. FSB and QSI tests show as not supported all others until that cache test show as pass. Does that mean there is a cache test inside the processor?
Please advise.
