Ok, so update. I did finally remove my 770 Graphics card and put in my old 580. Believe it or not I no longer got the zero. I was also able to get back into my BIOS and reset it back to default settings. I put my 770 card back in and the zero came back.
Kevin, I am guessing I no longer need to do your steps as I have gained back at least some control of the computer.
Not all is good news though. My system is still trying to boot into safe mode. However, I am getting a BSOD which I have not been able to read. Then everything reboots. However, as suspected I can boot from my CD. I tried using the Windows Defender Offline but it didn't detect anything. So I tried to find msconfig in a DOS CMD window but I can't find it. I was going to try to tell Windows to just boot normally and see if it all came back. However, since I don't know whether to change the Bootcfg or win.ini file to get the system to stop booting to safe mode I am contemplating just reinstalling the OS on my C: drive. None of my critical data is on that drive anyway since I set it up to just be an OS drive.
I did try to do two different system restores that should have been prior to me changing the msconfig to force a safe mode boot but they evidently did not take. It said they were sucessful but once a reboot the system still tried to boot in safe mode and then BSOD crashed.
