Re: Infrared driver not working Windows 8.1 & NUC

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the reply.

I had the BIOS 30 installed, I updated to BIOS 32.

I then ran the Intel Driver Update utility and asked it to automatically find drivers required.

The Intel Chipset Device Software and CIR driver were listed as required so I downloaded them through the utility and proceeded to install.

The Intel Chipset Device Software install FAILED, the CIR driver install actually asked me if I would like to uninstall the existing CIR driver.

I uninstalled the CIR driver through this process then rebooted the NUC.

Once rebooted I ran the Driver update utility once again and it said I needed the Intel Chipset Device Software and the CIR driver

The Disk management driver install FAILED again, the, the CIR driver installed

I can see in the device manage that the CIR devicce is installed and working correctly

I'm not getting any input through the IR however and each time I run the Intel Driver Update utility it lists as required for download (and the Intel Chipset Device Software also)

How do you test the IR iput, what are further debugging steps that I can take?

Thanks
